Contemporary Artist : Brittany M. Watkins (∞)
based in Columbia, South Carolina
Watkins and I attended Undergraduate together - it was there that I witnessed her outstanding work ethic, overall passion for the arts, and ability to challenge herself beyond any constraints with each project.
Over the last few years, Watkins has continued to let her love for art and expression be on full display with solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and other installations. She uses a variety of media (painting, installation, videography, sculpture, etc.) to showcase and explore psychological perceptions within society. I have included several photos of her work below.
Despite Watkins’ busy schedule, we were able to chat about how her art has progressed post-graduation, her creative process, pushing the envelope as an artist using various subject matter, live art performances within her exhibitions, what’s in store for 2022, and more below!

Digital Artist : Nick Davis (∞)
based in St. Petersburg, Florida
Strictly, art for the culture - that’s how I would describe the digital artwork by Nick Davis.
Davis has become well known for depicting the day to day lives of Black people - the ups and downs brought on by life and the world around us. He touches on a variety of issues within his work - some of which can be apparent upon your initial view. Davis has also been vocal about mental health and using artwork to manage his anxiety and depression.
As a newfound enthusiast of his art, I was drawn to the shapes and color palettes within his portraits - also, the flare Davis adds to jewelry and other accessories worn in each.
