Artist / Illustrator : David Jamal (∞)

There are some amazing illustrators coming out of Austria. I immediately reached out to Jamal after stumbling upon his work to get sharing permission.
The space themes he exhibited completely drew my eye into his illustrations. The fine black lines and shading on a white backdrop are always so killer! I love the micro shapes created throughout and the subtle details just hit. Much respect to how much patience is required from artists to do such tedious pieces.

Industrial Designer / Illustrator : Delano Ellis (∞)
based in Columbus, Ohio
I admire those who have acquired an expansive set of skills in the arts and use those skills to give back to communities. Ellis has done just that, collaborating on designing footwear alternatives for children and previously working as a professor at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where he taught Industrial Design for ten years.
Since discovering his personal page earlier this year, I’ve enjoyed seeing his futuristic concept designs, the unique shapes he creates, and overall style to his designs. I’ve shared several of my favorites below, so feel free to take a look and enjoy!
I finally had the pleasure of interviewing Ellis two weeks ago. We discussed the impact of collegiate teaching at University, the importance of staying engaged as creators, his exploration of illustration and industrial design, how he combined the two design types, and why failure is so great for a person’s learning curve.

Cinematographer / Composer : Zach Ambroise (∞)
based in Los Angeles, California
I had the pleasure of speaking with Ambroise after reaching out through social media. I viewed several of his videos and really wanted to hear more about how he started in this medium. Low and behold, I found out he is also a music composer - quite the creative talent on the rise!
Below is our interview where we discuss his introduction to cinematography, creating during the pandemic, his take on practicing the craft, some of the meanings behind his short films, and what the medium means to him.

Illustrator / Designer : Dermot Reddan (∞)
based in Brooklyn, New York
I discovered Reddan’s work last week and immediately fell in love with the vibes!
I appreciate his passion for hip-hop, the skate scene, NYC flare, expressions of artistic characters, and involvement in branding work for X Games 2018. Reddan can do it all and has proven himself to be a staple in the game since his introduction in 2003.

Contemporary Artist : Brittany M. Watkins (∞)
based in Columbia, South Carolina
Watkins and I attended Undergraduate together - it was there that I witnessed her outstanding work ethic, overall passion for the arts, and ability to challenge herself beyond any constraints with each project.
Over the last few years, Watkins has continued to let her love for art and expression be on full display with solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and other installations. She uses a variety of media (painting, installation, videography, sculpture, etc.) to showcase and explore psychological perceptions within society. I have included several photos of her work below.
Despite Watkins’ busy schedule, we were able to chat about how her art has progressed post-graduation, her creative process, pushing the envelope as an artist using various subject matter, live art performances within her exhibitions, what’s in store for 2022, and more below!
