There are some amazing illustrators coming out of Austria. I immediately reached out to Jamal after stumbling upon his work to get sharing permission.
The space themes he exhibited completely drew my eye into his illustrations. The fine black lines and shading on a white backdrop are always so killer! I love the micro shapes created throughout and the subtle details just hit. Much respect to how much patience is required from artists to do such tedious pieces.

Industrial Designer / Illustrator : Delano Ellis (∞)
based in Columbus, Ohio
I admire those who have acquired an expansive set of skills in the arts and use those skills to give back to communities. Ellis has done just that, collaborating on designing footwear alternatives for children and previously working as a professor at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where he taught Industrial Design for ten years.
Since discovering his personal page earlier this year, I’ve enjoyed seeing his futuristic concept designs, the unique shapes he creates, and overall style to his designs. I’ve shared several of my favorites below, so feel free to take a look and enjoy!
I finally had the pleasure of interviewing Ellis two weeks ago. We discussed the impact of collegiate teaching at University, the importance of staying engaged as creators, his exploration of illustration and industrial design, how he combined the two design types, and why failure is so great for a person’s learning curve.

Illustrator / Designer : Dermot Reddan (∞)

I discovered Reddan’s work last week and immediately fell in love with the vibes!
I appreciate his passion for hip-hop, the skate scene, NYC flare, expressions of artistic characters, and involvement in branding work for X Games 2018. Reddan can do it all and has proven himself to be a staple in the game since his introduction in 2003.

I stumbled upon Manfred Rohrer’s page in my explore section and immediately clicked to see more of his artwork. Pen and ink illustration continue to catch my eye - so throw in fine line work and I’m all in!
A few days later, I DM’d Rohrer to inquire about his artistic journey, proposed an interview and here we are.
I have included a few of my favorites of Rohrer’s work above and had the opportunity to discuss the art scene in Austria, what initially lead him to drawing, the effects of burnout for artists, upcoming projects for 2022, and more! Be sure to watch below.

Illustrator / Designer : Kelvin Chung (∞)

I don't recall exactly how I discovered Chung’s work, but this is the illustration that initially caught my attention. It has the look of adventure written all over it and the line/hatch work style is used well. I traveled to Colorado to explore the outdoors this past October and have recently thought about going skydiving for a second time in the near future. So, just the combination of the those elements depicted this way made this a sure favorite.
